Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Kinnavo is built around a simple principle: your contacts are yours. We designed the app so that we never see, collect, or store your personal data. This policy explains exactly how that works.

The short version

Kinnavo does not collect your data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party services. Your contacts never leave your device except through your own private iCloud, which only you can access. We — the developer — have no access to your contacts or your Kinnavo data.

Your contacts stay on your device

Kinnavo reads your contacts from Apple Contacts to display them inside the app. This happens entirely on your device. Your contact data — names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, and other fields — is never copied to our servers, because we have no servers. We never transmit your contacts anywhere.

What Kinnavo stores, and where

Kinnavo stores what you create: your work lists, sticky notes about people, and your own marks on a card — Gems, languages, and the quick actions you set up.

Sticky notes and work lists sync through your own private iCloud so they stay the same across your devices. Gems, languages, quick actions and your search history stay only on the device where you made them, and never leave it.

All of it sits in your personal iCloud account or on your device, encrypted, and we have no access to it — not through any dashboard, not through any API.

The only contact information Kinnavo saves is name snapshots — on sticky notes (in your private iCloud) and in your search history (on your device only). Only you can see them.

No analytics, no tracking, no ads

Kinnavo contains no analytics tools, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking of any kind. We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, or any third-party SDK. The app makes no network requests to any server other than Apple's own iCloud and the App Store.

Sharing your card and lists

When you share your card or a list, Kinnavo generates a vCard or QR code directly on your device.

When you share a work list, only its setup travels: the name, the styling and the search conditions. There is not a single contact in that file — on the other person's device the list fills with their own contacts.

If you send contacts themselves, only standard card fields go out, and only the ones you chose. Your Kinnavo marks — Gems, sticky notes, languages, quick actions — never leave the app.

Where that file goes next is entirely your choice, through the standard iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent to us.

Purchases

Professional Pack is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the transaction and any payment information. We never see or store your payment details.

Permissions

Kinnavo asks for access to your contacts so it can display and organize them.

Kinnavo does not change your contacts on its own. It writes to a card only when you explicitly ask it to. A personal word goes into the field you chose in Kinnavo's settings. A work word always goes into Department — the field is what tells a work list from a personal one, and a work word has nowhere else to go. You see the result immediately: nothing happens behind the scenes.

You can review or revoke this at any time in iOS Settings. The app may also open Apple Calendar, Maps, or messaging apps when you tap an action — these are launched by you and handled by their respective apps.

This website

The Kinnavo website is a simple informational page. It uses no analytics, no cookies for tracking, and no advertising. It does not collect any personal information, and there are no user accounts.

Children

Kinnavo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone — because it does not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
